Purpose of Application: Permanent classroom modular building
Building: Learning Impaired Early Years Building
Project: Linden Lodge School
Location: London SW19 6JB
With a very short time line and limited budget to procure a three classroom learning impaired early years building, the classrooms were to be situated permanently in a locally protected area. Because of its location it was paramount that the choice of exterior design blended into the natural landscape and looked architecturally pleasing. With this in mind, Cotaplan delivered a full turn key package, working with Linden Lodge to acquire the exact materials right for the external cladding.
Choosing permanent modular building: Cotaplan designed and procured a modular building system that was inclusive of foundations, drainage, service connection and external works. The full construction programme took 12 weeks competed on time and on budget at a fixed price. To meet the planning requirements to build in a locally protected area, western red cedar wood was chosen to clad the external panelling.
